One of the ancient sites to see in Dharmashala is Nechung Monastery Dorje Drayang Ling Monastery, sometimes known simply as Nechung Monastery. It is one of the most well-known and well-liked tourist sites in McLeodGanj. The Tsuglagkhang Complex includes this monastery as a religious community.The Nechung Monastery has a long and rich history. The monastery serves as the home of the State Oracle and is regarded as the protector deity of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan people. 

It truly is one of the most sacred and revered locations for the Buddhist community. Monks perform various religious ceremonies generally for all living things, but particularly for His Highness the Dalai Lama, the Nechung monks undertake a variety of religious rites.

The Buddhists from all over the Dharamshala visit this place. Drepung monastery is nearby to Nechung Monastery. It’s just 10 minutes’ walk away. Nechung monastery is a strange place. That has also associated with exorcism, possession, and other pre-Buddhist rites.
